Question Most horsepower gain from swap

Doing a engine swap on a 3gee, which engine would give the most horespower and torque? I've heard on two accounts and both were good sources, A: prelude engine swap and B: the integra engine swap. Which would give more hp and torque is my question and which is the best to swap into a 3gee?

If I were you, I would go with the JDM swap. Throw the B20A in there. That motor will give you a better platform of stock to stock power and torque. I am currently looking for that motor to put into my Lude. I have heard that with that motor in your Accord will run a high 14 to a low 15 in a quarter with a stock motor. Then you can build the motor if you want to. That is just my oppinion but it is really all what you want.

Yeah, either the b20 or the b18, but I'm doing a b16 instead in mine.

You mean the H22 from the Lude right? because the B20 from the lude is not the same B20 motor in the JDM Accord.

H22 has the higher diplacement which is one reason I might choose it for a swap... there is also an H23 from the Type R accord if I'm not mistaken but good luck finding one and swaping it in.

Easiest swap is the B16 since the engine and motor mounts are easier to find. Then there is the B20 from the Accord which is basicly a bolt in swap... you just need to find all the parts.

Personally I'm sticking with the A20... it's even cheaper. and you can use parts from the B16/B18c5... and new things are being made every now and then. I'm sure it will all pay off in the end.

The Euro Accord Type R has a different higher-output 220hp version of the H22A, while the H23A comes from the 92+ Prelude Si (non-VTEC). The heads are interchangeable so you can have the greater torque of the Si and the top-end of the VTEC.

thanks for the info, I'm not online at home because I need a wireless nic card, I have to do this at work and I'm trainning for a new position. I'm no longer a telemarketer *grin*, I wanna get more hp outta the engine I put in there because if it's only gonna give me a 10 to 20hp gain what's the use of doing that when I could get all of the mods to get that gain for cheaper than buying another engine.

If you want torque, you should get a big ass diesel engine. You will be very happy with the TQ numbers
