    Trunk lock please help!

    ok you all know right in front of the drivers seat theres the two levers for trunk release and gas release..

    well i need to disable the trunk release anyway possible, theres a key lock right by the levers but it doesnt lock anything anyone know how to stop that trunk lever from working? i tried breaking it off with no luck, and i looked in the back and cant figure out how it unlocks it

    The key lock is supposed to keep the trunk lever from operating. If you want to totally disable it permanently, you can cut the cable going to the lock.

    i looked on the back and took the lock off looking for this friggen cable, dont see one

    Open the trunk. The cable is clipped onto the left hinge arm with white plastic clips.

    man, i cut that cable and now my trunk doesnt even close~! im f**ked.

    See if you can pull the outer cable off the inner pull cord. It's probably smooshed or something where you cut the cable. Good luck.

    i cut the cable inside the trunk, what are you talking about?

    whats making the trunk not latch? and is there anyway to make it latch wihtout going to buy a new cord and re running it?

    was there two cords in that black cable then or what im so confused and pissed off now, i spent two hours pushing a box for my sub that wouldnt fit in there and i wanted to make it so no one could get in there without using the key and now its sitting out there open for anyone to take (

    The cable is an outer sheath with an inner metal cord. Even if both are cut, the inner one might not be able to move freely inside the outer cable and should probably be removed. That is what is probably stopping the lock from resetting. Look around the lock area again and see if you can take it out now that it's cut.

    the lock goes back to the intial position and unlocks fine, it wont latch when i shut the lid tho, i dont see where that black cable even goes to

    Behind the black inner lock cover. On the bottom, there is the black cable coming from the RIGHT side. It has a ball on the end of the inner cable. Pull it out.

    i dont see that, wheres the black inner lock cover?

    Inside on the trunk lid. A piece of black plastic right behind the latch. Pull it off.

    mine has grey plasitc took it off, i see two black wires goin to the lock do i do anything to those?

    i dont see a "ball" on the end of either of the black cables, sorry for all the trouble

    The wires are for the trunk light switch. Leave them alone. Just pull the cable with the ball off of there. Now that it's cut it should come right out.
