I dont understand how someone could just abandon their car somewhere. Well unless they killed someone in it or something like that. But nothing like that should ever be done in a 3Gee!!! Shame on that car's owner, hopefully it goes to someone who will make it look real nice and cruise around 3gee style.
Thinking about getting a new 3g...

if you gave $300 for it and only kept the armrest, cupholders and the wheels, you;ve gotten your money's worth, I'd jump on it in a second if I lived anywhere near there!

The 88 lxi I am parting out came from an impound lot. I got it for nothing really. I have the keys and it runs and drives fine, but I can not title it. Every one should check local impound lots!!!!

you should be able to get a titel for it. Esp if it was from an impound lot. Go to the DMV and look into getting the title signed over to you.

Well folks, I tried but was out bidded at the last moment. Sorry. I live in Iowa, about a 3.5 hour drive awayan and was willing to go pick it up. I was waiting on a carfax report to make sure it was a safe buy, unfortunately for me(us), the report came back very possitive. The 135,000 miles were original.

Hopefully the winner will or already is a member of this forum. I would be curious to know what he has planed for the car.

The only reason I didn't bid any higher was because I already have SEI leather front seats, arm rest and cupholder. The only reason I wanted it was for the rear discs. And since it was only an automatic I had no use for the tranny. If it were a 5 speed, I would have definitely fought harder.

Sorry again for not being able to help y'all out.

    peace..

it probably went that low because it one big un-known, no one knows if it runs starts moves under its own power. Some, actually most people aren't into just tossing money out for unknowns. From what I've seen lately on EBAY alot of cars are comming up over and over and over, be it deadbeats or whatever. EBAY makes it a Bigger unkown, you can't see it or try to fig out what it may need. Don't let me scare ya, just tellin it the way I see it on why the bid was so low. Best of luck with it let us know what ya got as soon as you figure it out

Congrats I-mix-em on the win, and welcome to the forum. yeah, definitely let us know the condition of the car once it is in your possession. When do you plan on picking it up, if you haven't already done so.. If it turns out you want to use it as a parts car, I would definitely be interested in the rear brakes if you don't have plans for them.

    peace...
