Best Engine for a Civic Si 87 HB

Hey fellas, I have a Civic 1987 Generation 3 as my repair and tune up project and after a few readings I just need to confirms some answers:

1.- Is the B16a 3Gen the best engine for it. or a ZC?
2.- Rear Disc Brakes are possible?
3.- Can I install Coillovers on this model?

I am a Computer Programer who worked with my father on familly projects, you know the usual things, car maintenance and not too dificult repairs. But now I want to convert my Honda in my dream car, so help me on this please, all the orientations you can give will be apreciated.....

B16 will need new engine mounts and axels, and wirring.
Visit the websites such as HASport, Place Racing or HCP.
ZC will bolt right up according to Honda tuning magazine.
