I drove my '86 Accord HARD everyday until the motor burned up a main bearing, 254,000 miles! Now I'm putting in a new motor. But that is the only thing that has worn out on this car. I'm going to keep this car for another 250k after this. I may even pass this car down to my son when he's old enough to drive.
The car will last forever if you take care of it. Also, your gas mileage is low if you still have the original carb in it and have not rebuilt it yet. Your best bet is to buy the Weber carb.
I have a carb'd Accord as well. And these carb's are not the best of designs, but they work well when properly tuned and maintained.
Gone thru two minivans and two sports cars, but my accord keeps on going at 254,000 miles. Actually, it died. But here comes the JDM B20A!!!

how hard is it to install a weber carb?
