Lowering Springs

Hey everybody I really don't know anything about suspension so I am wondering if i bought lowering springs would i need to buy anything else to lower it or do i only have to buy the springs?

you'll need a better struts to go with the springs. Depending how much you drop you'll need prelude arms or a camber kit as well

you don't NEED new struts..im still using my stock struts with the weapon R coilovers and it works fins..also, the camber kit isn't necessary either, it's nice for tire wear and all but your not going to mess anything up if you only buy the springs and put them on

You don't need struts, really now. That would be a false answer.

Coilovers or lowering spirngs+stock sturts='s Ride and drive quality that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. How can you post and not be honest enough to admit that, your car rides and dives poorly and you know it. Your not doing him a service, your doing him a disservice. If you want your car to ride and drive right, you HAVE to get new struts, one's that can begin to handle the stiffer coilovers or stiffer springs. Get it wrong and you have what you have, lot's of bounce, poor ride quality and lower handling performance vs someone that obeyed the lowering laws and install the right struts. All lowering springs are stiffer, all coilovers are stiffer, and the stock struts can't even handle springs that are only 26% stiffer, their is no getting around the fact that if you lower you car, you have to upgrade the struts to one's that can handle the stiffness of the coilovers or springs your installing. THIS IS A IF YOR CARE ISSUE. If you don't care how your car rides and drives, bouces, rides poorly, that's fine, but say new struts (stiffer ones) are needed, that if factually false.

Drops past 1.5" should get camber correction in the front at the very least, that's just common sense. We have lot's of post's here from members that choose to ignor that and turned around and cried how their inside tire wore out to the steel thread way before the rest of the tread. Sad thing is, it can be a cheap fix by installing 2nd gen 84-87 prelude arms and washers as shown in the how to section. Negitive camber doesn't just effect tire wear, it can cause some other issue's with how the car drives, but their minor annoyances.

The whole point of my post is this. It is really REALLY important with your car's suspension, that you do not get sucked into following the wrong advice, since their are people that don't care about their suspension and people that certainly don't know how to make things right. I have spent the last 3 years getting to know what's right for these cars so our members can avoid making some of the same mistakes I made and not waste money and time.
