my saab runs 14.6....(sad for a turbo...bleh), but that was about 8 months ago, and it died a week later (blown head gasket), so i think that would factor in to it....but now it's almost done, just need to make an exhaust system and she's ready to kill! oh wait this is the honda forum, my accord would probably run like an 18...it's actaully the slowest car i have ever driven, but i haven't done the timing on it yet, didn't have a chance before it got stolen, should be quicker once i redo the headgasket AGAIN, and time it properly (assuming it doesn't get stolen again first...)

Hey, I'm new here so I'll try to keep the b/s out of this. I have an 88 lxi with 287,000 miles on the origional engine. I have yet to rebuild it but the damn thing is bullet proof. It's never been down the track but in the five years that Iv'e had it Iv'e only lost a handfull of street races. But in my opinion these cars are great on the highway. No b/s I topped out the speedometer between Dallas and Oklahoma City. The needle was between 125 and 130. I don't know how acurate thiat is but it took me a good stretch of road to get there. It drove pretty good and it didn't float around on me but it shure scared the hell out of me. That was back when it was still under 200,000 miles. Guessing now I think it would probably run a high 16 to low 17. I have a short ram intake and cheap made exhaust but it will still do what I want when I want. I hope I'm part of the family here now, and in the future, if my wallet can handel it, I'm going to try that b20 swap.
2.0 leters, 12 valves, fuel injection, 300,000 miles, and confident at 110 mph. Keep your "B" engines and VTEC's, if you drove like me your engine couldn't take the punishment that I serve to this "OLD" car everyday for breakfast. GOD BLESS THE THIRD GEN ACCORD.

you know... I'm tired of all you idiots attacking me over my 1/4 mile time... a 15.5 isn't all that fast... that is my fastest time I've gotten, the average is around a 16...

you people that are running slower than that either can't drive worth shit or your cars aren't in very good shape... now I'm not referring to the cars who don't have any upgrades, cause they shouldn't be that fast... but with the few upgrades I've done, I do run under 16 quite often.

also, the automatics and the carbed cars, will not be as fast as my fuel injected 5spd.

if any of you happen to be in my area, feal free to challenge me to a race, that,s the only way I can prove it to you....

also... someone here mentioned the fact that wheather changes the performance of our cars... well... I only usually race at night, and it is usually around 65 degrees, and my car likes that temp.

my car ran beautifully when I got it, it was obviously well taken care of (until the wreck). I also have a new tranny, it's stock, but new is still better. it's also a hatchback... so, it's lighter than all the other models

    87 hatch (stolen)

88 lxi 4dr, 5spd, threw a rod... in process of swapping engine from my 87 hatch (police recovered what was left of the car).

the fucker that sold me the 88 is lucky he lives 500 miles from me...

Your tired of it, lol:lol Were more tired of you making the claim. Contrary to what you say, the list of people that can run less than 16's on the board is extreamly short. Everyone of them can prove their time's with known mods and time slips. You offer us neither, meaning we'd be idiot's "TO" believe you, not the other way around.

Like I've told you before, I dare you to find a sacramento area member, and their are several here and run your car at the sacramento raceway and prove yourself with that member present as a witness. Think about it, you could proudly post your 15.5 slips and brag and brag. But, you still haven't done that, and I don't think you ever will, till you do, well will never shut up, and the BS flag will forever fly when you make the 15.5 claim.

I would love to take the 4hr drive down there to see it in person. I'm going to the track this Friday to see how I do. Some people I have raced are saying I should be in the low 16's. hopefuly

You should be in the low 16's with a 10.5 1/8 mile time. I noticed in racing stories you said your best is a 10.4 that's going to be close to a 16 flat. It's starting to get cooler now you should be getting quicker times, if you can get traction.

Well I went to the track last night and it sucked. My speedo cable came out of the tranny, then I started to leak antifreeze so they kicked me out. Well my best run even though it sucked was a 16.9 sec with a .98 reaction time. So maybe next week I can get better at driving then I should be seeing some low 16's

Buy an r1, run sub ten with psycho terminal speeds, and gloat about that! You'll most likely spend less then trying to get the Accord very competetive
Accord has been replaced with a 2004 Solara SE Sport with 3.3 VVT-i V6...man does that car move...

Funny that you say that cause I'm actually plainning on buying one as soon as I start my engine swap in the Accord. I have rode an R6 before and eventhose can kick some ass!

Actually the DX hatch is about 50 lbs heaver than the coupe and the lxi HB is about 100 lbs heaver than the coupe and the LXI coupe is 2551 according to my motertrend artical and www.carpoint.com

Unless you have tuned those h22 injectors you are losing power. You would have to put it on a dyno and at least have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator to make it work right.

Damn I may be kinda newb on this board but Kevin quit yelling man!!!!!!! Don't want to be mean but damn
