    Another possible 3Geez member

Well, I talked an extremely close relative of mine into purchasing a 1987 Accord DX 5Spd. over an 89' LXi Auto (No A/C, 13K more miles, chocolate milk in the radiator, bad belts, and a bad axle), a 91' 240sx SE 5Spd (primered and dented, no stereo, slashed seats, bad CV Joints, leaking sunroof, a hole in the radiator the diameter of a quarter on top, a hole in the hood and other bad things) and some other unmentionable cars. The 87' was pretty mint and had a fresh aqua paint job, new goodyear eagle II tires, extremely clean interior, R134-A retrofit with a fresh recharge, maintenance records for the last 3 years, brand new fans and an optima redtop, and 131,000 mi.. The problems are: no speakers, a hole in the rear deck, no scissor jack, the front bumper is rubbing on the right hand side driver's side tire a little (the bumper needs to be adjusted, thats all).

The prices of the three mentioned cars are as follows:
    1. 87' Accord DX $1000
    2. 89' Accord LXi $1995
    3. 91' 240sx $1000

He had to go to work soon after we picked the car up, so I was unable to correct some things for him in the limited time frame. I did recommend that he visit this site in the future.

I love those cars (3Geez) because they are extremely dependable and the availability to find replacement parts is stupendous.

Sounds like there is no competition between the three man. I say he should definately get the DX w/ out a doubt.

That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

Sounds like a great deal. I dont know if I would want it b/c of my love for fuel injection, but I probably would have bought it at that price, that is if the timing belt was replaced, the radiator has no oil in it, and I was sure that I could see no visible signs of head gasket leakage.

Actually, there is such a true meaning to it. My favorite Japanese Drifter, Yoshinori Koguchi, has mastered it and other techniques along with Ken Nomura and of course, Nobuteru Taniguchi.

Check my profile man! It's there.
