my suspension is shot all around, so i figured, if i was gonna shell out, i might as well go the distance, but...

now that I have read all of these suspension threads, where are the threads about what wheels and tires you can still fit on the car once you’ve lowered it?

i have been fantasizing about dropping it 2.25 and putting 17x7 rims on it...

You can do that no problem, as long as the offset on your wheels is at leat 40mm.

man you should look around in the accord pics section and see other people's drop and then see if you like theirs. Then you can figure what drop height you would like.
I dont think youre gonna feel right if you say you want it to 'sit' and then you only get 1.5" lowering springs..
    think before you buy......

Well, unless your really picky, you don't have to worry about drops of 1.5" or less. I didn't to a thing to my camber and I didn't have any uneven tire wear. In fact, I had the most EVEN tire wear of any FWD car I'd ever owner previously. Just can't see spending a dime on camber for 1.5" or less drops.

I went and had an alignment and I did have more negative camber than factory spec in one or two of my wheels (about 2 degrees in one and 1.7 or so in another, if i remember correctly). It's not worth it to me to fix it though. The guy at the alignment shop said it's more important to have the toe right for tire wear than camber (dunno if this is true or not, but that's what he said). They wanted 660 dollars to fix the camber with camber kits!!!

I had to get a camber kit with my 1.5 inch drop, I was 2.5 degrees off each wheel. That's because I have 17 inch rooms too.

I have a cheap well basicly free way to lower your car just take the coils out and cut off a coil at a time till you get it the hight you want it. This is just a temporary way to lower you car if you are on a slim budget.
