IMHO this "deal" is more like glorified crap that will do more harm then good.

I, personally, have a problem with this company, and the suspension combo they're selling here. I posted something about this a while back.

I had sent them an e-mail asking what the spring rates of the springs/coiv-overs were, and the valving specs (% of stiffness over OEM) on the struts, and they're response was what one might call very bad for business.

They responded with a snide, ignorant comment along the lines of "I'm not an engineer, how would I know that, and who really cares anyway". That tells me only one thing, they don't care about "performance" and only care about how big they're next paycheck will be". And they're paycheck is only funded by the un-knowing, un-educated (not the consumers fault) consumer who buys these based on the claim that they're "high performance" and "will make your car ride like a race-car".

    On a more technical note:
By looking at these struts, they look (at best) like a Monroe sensa-trac that's been re-stickered with "suspension-tech" and combined with a run-of-the-mill lowering spring.

"But both the struts and springs are new, so it should work real good right?" Nope, that's not the case at all. These are lowering springs, which means they do two things. 1. Lower the car 2. Stiffen the ride by making the spring with a higher spring rate then the OEM. With a higher spring rate, you need a strut that's valved to handle that specific (or higher) spring. If you use something like a Monroe Sensa-Trac, which is valved for OEM specs, your spring will overpower your strut from day one. This will cause increased fatigue and tear-down on on the internals of the strut, and eventually will cause the strut to fail. How do you know that the strut is not stiff enough for the spring? You'll get a "floaty" or "bouncy" feeling when riding in it. This b/c the strut is not capable of conrolling the rebound of the compressed spring, so the spring is free to rebound at will.

Ok, sorry for the rant, but honestly, I'd like to put out an eBay PSA advising people not to buy from a company selling a mismatched strut/spring combination, and having such a poor business approach to very appropriate questions.

We had one member that bought them, against my advice. In a short time he pulled the whole setup off the car and went with what I told him was a good idea in the first place and thanked me for my original advice, nuf said.
