    Unhappy Faded Trim

The trims on my car are faded like most people's 3g. What should I do to make it black again. I heard painting rubber isn't good cuz rubber and paint don't mix therefore the paint robs off. Would it be good to use Back to Black or trim paint. Help me out. Here are the photos of my trim:

I wiped it down with Goof Off several times to remove the car wax, thne lightly sanded, primed, and painted over it. It has lasted a while. It works.

when I had my accord repainted, I had him repaint all the moldings, and window trim black again. It did wonders, cause like yours, my molding, and window trim was fading. I'd have it painted, or ya do it yourself.

    Started with a 89 Accord LXI - 96 Acura TL - 2003 Acura CL Type S..

Yeah I spray painted mine black again too. It looks pretty good, I get alot of compliments from 3g owners around here. Makes it look a hell of a lot better.
Thinking about getting a new 3g...

Krylon Fusion paint is a new (May) product that supposedly bonds to plastic & rubber. Since there may be wax on your plastic & rubber trim, I would suggest rubbing it well with straight ammonia and a rag before painting.

I painted my front & rear plastic bumper strips & side moldings with it. I also painted the rear window trim & front windshield top piece. It looks really nice now.

You can get Krylon Fusion at Sherwin-Williams paint stores, Wal-Mart, ACE hardware and more for about $4 a can.

Spray light coats and wait between each until you are satisfied. Too heavy of a coat may stay sticky for a long time.
    Nothin' extra
