requested: MSD 6AL mounted in engine bay

I just bought an MSD 6al and I can't find a good place to mount it in my 3gee.... I've seen some on the firewall, but mine won't fit there! its either blocked all the way across the back! I've got it temporarily mounted on the box in the back, passenger side corner... its only staying by one screw tho, I gotta find a better place for it!!! someone please help me out!! thanks

well, maybe someone could post some pix of their after market ignitions? that would give you the best idea of what to do with it. at first i was going to say mount it on the fire wall. ok, i just checked out the fire wall and see what you talking about. maybe you could try mounting it low on the inner fender where there is that open spot. maybe try mounting it inside the cabin? there would be lots of space inside the car.
Keep it HONDA. Or at least Asian.™

first off, that's why I put this post in "PICS".... so maybe someone would post one in here.... a description of the location wouldn't be that good.... a picture would show me exactly where! so there's my explanation on that... ok, as for inside the cabin, I was going to do that, and I might still, but I'd have to buy more wiring so I can reach the battery, etc. with it! which isn't that much of a problem... the only REAL problem would be drilling thru the firewall... which I don't wanna do... hmm.... inner fender.... I think I know where you're talking about... right behind the battery? if so, I'd still have to move some junk around, and it would be up against the battery... don't know if that's good or bad... I guess bad if I accidentally ran into someone, it would bust a hole in the battery... I've started removing a few things, mostly just the little loops that are holding various wires and hoses in place.. I think its gonna help a little.. I found a spot on the driver's side, real close to the master cylinder.... I'm gonna take off that metal piece holding the 3 or 4 things (its already bent becuase it was in the way when I was replacing the m/s, and I didn't have the stuff to take it off!) but anyway, thanks for your help!

Most people put it on the firewall, but it could go anywhere. I see a couple in the glove box.

Here's what mine looks like. I had an angled stainless steel piece made to hold the box off the firewall at an angle.
Getting the thing to actually do something in my car has been more of a challenge though.

Feels much better than the carburated engine did. I briefly had a go at making an Integra Cold Air fit, but I'm going to have to enlarge the whole under the battery.
In the meantime I just placed a Civic filter on the intake to get the car around.
