    auto->5spd starter question

    I'm swapping over to a 5spd, and need to make sure whether or not I will need a 5spd starter, I looked at the write up in the how-to section, and it doesn't mention it in the parts list. Also, if I do need it, how do i know which one to get, the Nippon Denso one or the Mitsu one? thanx in advance!

    You can swap the bodies of an auto to the five speed so that the starter itself is from the auto but the part that mates it to the transmission is from the manual.

    A20A1 is right. Thats what I had to do when I did my 5 -speed swap. The starters are different.
