    Question 98 Accord Stereo Out

Problem 1. Plugged a vaccum into the lighter... pop, no stereo, no lighter power. I know it is a fuse, and I'm a decent electrician. Does this stereo have an in-line fuse? I checked the hood box and the kick panel box, can't find a torched fuse. Any suggestions?

Problem 2. Used to be wife's car, she doesn't have the security code for the head unit. Any way around it or any way to get the codes?

I'm gonna pull it apart and check it out. Please let me know. Got a business trip tomorrow, gotta drive 6 hours. No tunes could severely suck.

Don't think it has a inline fuse if its thestick stereo from Honda. The code for it may be in your owners manual, its usually just a little sticker. Might also be stuck in the glove box. If you can't find it the Dealer should be able to get it for you, usually free of charge. They "supposedly" have a database of codes, just call them and give them your VIN Number. If not then you'll haveto take the radio out and get the serial # off it. There are places online that can get the code but they charge like 25-40 bucks. The dealer should be able to get it to you for free
