OK guys, I cleaned up this thread. I really like what 2K has done here, and he's obviously a valuable member here. Let's keep all of the off-topic comments off of this thread. 2K, hit me up on PM if you want me to take any action on this, and posts made, beyond just deleting them.

2k, love the mod. They look sick. I think that the white would look a little better though, only b/c the yellow makes it look like on of the older, sealed beam colors. I like how you just have the angel eye around the projector, but is there any way to get a longer/larger ring so that it can go all the way around the projector itself instead of like 80%? Just curious, but seriously man, bad-ass.

Can you notch almost all the way around? I think that would look alot better.

what i meant to say was- The ring that goes around the projector only, although it does totally encompass the projector, it only looks lit on the top portion from the picture. It doesnt look like light comes from the bottom half of the angel eye. Does that clear it up a little more?

A second way to ask the same question would be. Does light come out of the entire angel eye circle? Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question. Mike

i c i c, and thanks mark for doing that for me, yeah well like i said, this is a "working prototype" model, next we're goin to make them larger, cuz i think they are too small myself, and i think that the white prolly will look better too cuz the amber is just a dim color altogether, well if any of u guys improve on the model please add to this thread so that we can blow this thing up!!!! but it feels good to be the first :pimp:, as for the "happy" look of my angel eyes, that was actually a mistake, my friend was putting the notches on one and he accidently broke it, so we just broke the other to make them look the same, but i wanna make bigger one's anyway

original, you've inspired me! I just picked up some of the materials I need to make this happen. Just hope I can make 'em come out as nice as those did. (fingers crossed). Now all I need, and perhaps the most difficult of all things, is some time to do this.

well here's a tip for any1 who's trying this out, for 1 make sure u make the grooves pretty thick, like 3/4 of a millimeter, and make them really close, or even a millimeter, we used a knife first just to get the concept down, even the slightest scratches appear on the other side and the image refracts along the octagonal shape, i think the fact that our etches were too small is why mine aren't as bright as they should be, cuz the guy who did the crx only used 2000mcl output led's, and i'm using 1900, so keep that in mind, also i think the reflective background diminishes the effect as well, cuz if u look on those 5 series and on that crx, the housings are all black, just something to think about

p.s.- make them about 1/2 millimeter deep as well

if any1 else is trying this and has some input PLEASE do not hesitate to speak your mind, i really wanna know what methods u guys think could improve this design! 3geezp0w4!!!

You can buy a relay at Pepboys for $4-6. Get 2 of them and wire it to the headlight, then to the battery. When the headlight comes on, the relay will switch the battery lead on and then you are set. Here is the schematic for wiring corner markers. What you need to do is run the wire that goes to the "sidemarker (+) {87}" to the angel eye / LED. Then ground the (- neg) side of the angel eye to the battery’s (-) terminal. Run the wires that go to the "blinker / marker" {85,86} to the (+) and (-) on the headlight. Run {30} to a fuse if you want to be safe, then to the battery’s (+) terminal.

I had always wanted to hook up some LEDs in my car just for fun... they are cheap and easy to use... thanks for reminding me that I needed to do that...! These are the ones that I will use...

    http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=276%2D316

I'm going to hook up 4 of them on the floor. One where each person’s feet will be... front and back. Then wire them to a single relay then to the ACC lead so when my parking lights come on they will also... I already wired my front blinkers to my corner markers through a relay so when the parking lights go on, the front blinkers come on, and stay on. They look like built in fog lights. I think I might wire in a clear LED to the front blinkers to make them brighter...
