Whenever I am making a left turn, and I give it a little gas right at the end of the turn, the RPM drops down a bit and then shoots up to about 4. What is up with that???

If you have an automatic.... it's just the fluid transferring in or out of the torque convertor.
But it could also be the carb getting more fuel since a left turn would force the fuel towards the jets.

Well it is probably something simple but it sounds a little extreme with how the RPM's jump. I can see it doing a little like how it is on some motorcycles and ATV's but not a big jump.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.
Could it be a lack of trans fluid???

Could be. You should check it anyway since you've been giving your car a once-over!
If you don't know where your auto tranny dipstick is (as many auto 3g owner's don't), check here:
