Radiator fan !!!!

my radiator fan fuse breaks after 5 seconds ???
i just changed my radiator fan switch and it did not work =(
so i hooked it up to work all the time , but the fuse breaks after 5 seconds ..... was up ???

How did you hook it up? I think there is 12 volts at the fan so if you hooked 12 volts to the switch wire that could be why you are blowing your fuse.

You can just jumper the 2 switch wires together and it should run all the time.

I had the same problem with those switches. Seems if you buy a new one from a parts store they don't work. I ended up getting one from the junk yard that works fine.

Was the fuse blowing before you tried changing the switch? Another possibility is that the fan motor is shot.

yeah it could be that the fan motor is shot drawing too much power causing the fuse to blow!

yepp the fuse was blowing before i changed the switch ....
if the fan motor is shot , will it still work like mine does ???
is a new fan motor expensive ????
