damn, that's one way to do it. Pull the whole engine and tranny. Hmm... Been through 2 1/2 swaps already and never seen that. Glad it all worked out though. How many hours did it take in total?

How do you like the ride now? more pep eh?

It took about 4 days of here and there work (probably 20 hours total).....We changed most of the gaskets and all 3 mounts on the engine and we came to find out that we didn't have the right flywheel bolts, so I searched for a day to find them. My car is at least 2 seconds quicker now. It was well worth it. My engine has 260,000 on it, so it needed new gaskets, as well as an oil change/coolant change.

ive been wanting to do the 5speed swap to my 3gee. would be funer than the 4speed automatic. considering i dont touch transmissions, it wont be happening too soon. i may just turn my current 3gee into a crusier. probley not. anyway, if i do realy want to do a 5 speed swap, might as well do an engine swap along with it, right?

If you need anything just pm me. I am more than willing to help you, as for the $$$$$, don't spend anymore than $300 I would say. I got hooked up with the tranny for $100 with a brand new clutch.

Ya, I am thinking seriously about doing this near the end of winter, and I will throw in a Dynapack clutch, and it kinda sucks, but need to get a new CV shaft, I forget which one, but they are different with the auto and 5spd.

If I am going to go for speed, I definately need a 5spd, auto = suck!

if i were doing that i would definitly replace both CV shafts just because you have it all apart.

CV shafts are not all that pricey, but use the money for other things. Do all your gaskets, water pump, timing belt.........and so on. It is well worth the time mehomey,

I don't mean to be a jerk, but whoop-de-doo. It is really cool that you can do that kind of work, but that is the only thing I have seen on the boards for the past 3 weeks. Give it a rest.

hey mr.newbie, the whole point of this board is to share things about the accord. a 5spd swap is very popular cause a lot of enthusiests dislike automatics.

anyway, bitesize i gotta say it again, you have THEE best looking accord i've seen. the colour, wheels it all flows real nice, and its not too flashy, but will still draw attention
