    Talking Finally getting rear discs on

    Yea they've only been sitting in my storage shed since....uhhh...January 20th, LOL. So since I finally had all my necessary parts together, and a 3 day weekend from work and school, I decided to finally put them in.







    So far today I only got one side completely done, and the proportioning valve installed cuz I ran out of daylight and called it quits for the night. I'll finish the other side up tomorrow and bleed the brakes. It'll probably feel quite a bit better cuz the bushings in my original arms were pretty worn and cracked (loose), and these new ones are in perfect condition and nice and tight.

    I started at about 2:30 I think, and had everything cleaned up and tools put away by about 8:30-9:00. I had to assmeble everything first, so that took alot of the time (calipers and bracket were off, installed those, new pads, hoses and hard lines, caliper slides, rotors, few other things too) I was in no rush though, so I just took my time and double checked everything. Then Rooz came over and helped out for a bit, so that helped too. I wish I had a lift, that would have made it soooo much easier!!

    looks sweet. did you Get Rebuilt Calipers? Is that Jack that one from Walmart, bulldog something? I think I got the same one!!!! I got mine in a kit, with a Jack, and Stands, and Wheel Chucks, and 4 way tie iron, for like 30 bucks or somethin ooo dang.

    Thanks! I had the calipers rebuilt at Pompano Honda, where they charged me waaaaaaaaaaay to much for such a simple job. Anyways, I got the other side on tonight and all went well, until I was bleeding the brakes and after I had 3 done, I was doing the last one (left front) and the bleeder screw snapped in half trying to take it off. So off to the junkyard tomorrow to get another caliper to use until I can get the bleeder screw out of this one. They do work though! Haven't driven it on the road cuz I don't want to drive it with air in the line, but I went in the driveway and it stopped right away!

    That jack I got at Sears back in '99 while I was visiting down here. It didn't come with the stands, I got those a long time ago somewhere else.

    Don't mind my rusty fenders and rocker panels

    Looks good Jared. About time you did something with those.

    I have a question for you. When you installed your suspension did you thighten all the bushing bolts first and then drop it on the ground?

    WooHoo! Got a new caliper at the junkyard (in super nice shape too!), put it in and re-bled the fronts. Went for a drive and it feels great! Nice firm pedal, perfectly smooth and even braking, no leaks.... now I'm happy Brakes also feel more responsive now too (more grippy grabby)... me likes!
