    Setting Timing????

I had to replace all my belts and the timing belt on my lxi. Now when I go to start the car it does nothing but turn over with out a hint of firing. What gives. I noticed that there is like a fog that comes out of the intake. Is my timing messed up and If how do I fix it? Any other suggestions are greatly needed. Woudl the car fire at all if timing is off? Let me know
    Thanks

First turn the engine over by hand to make sure that TDC on the cam gear lines up with TDC on your flywheel. If's that's right then it's likely something else, unless you also messed with your ignition timing in which case a few minutes with a timng light should solve your problem.

When I did my timing belt I had to put the belt on a few times before I as able to get everything to line up correctly. I tested it before I reassembled everything and was able to catch it before I wasted my time putting it back together with the belt on wrong.
