    Question custom intake question

Well i have my intake pipe and filter on, i just have it right behind the battery a ways, well my question is, the directions said drill the hole for the hose that goes to the valve cover vent or whatever, the thing where the stock line ran too. now i have 4 other hoses that i had to dissconect when taking of the stock intake system, i have 2 coming from the black box in the left corner of my car, one small, and the other slithly larger, then i have 2 on the right side one coming from some black thing that says made in japan, and the other coming from something on the top right side of the engine? i know that one of the hoses im talking about on the right side, is making a sucking nose sometimes, then like a blablabla sound???? anyone know what i have to do or something,

okay i know what u mean. You 86-87 guys have that problem while we 88-89 guys are headache-free. the big shit from your valve cover is your valve cover ventilation. u dont need to drill a hole in ur intake system for that. just disconnect the hose like u did and go to pep boys and get a APC breather (says intimidator breather) for 10 bucks and stick tthat breater (filter) on the lil projection on ur valve cover.

the other small lines from ur black box (vaccum control box) are ur vacuum lines. U can either drill holes and push them in ur intake, or join the two vacuum lines from ur vacuum box with each other. I am not sure about what lese ur tlaking about, but i will let uknow tomorrow when i go look at the car from the junk tomorrow.

I think you need to atach 3 hoses the two from the old intake piping and the big one from the valve cover.

sense you have an 89 LXi all you need to do is hook up the large hose that comes off the valve cover.

Nope, on the 88-89, just remove all the old plastic intake piping, the PCV line, and reattach that one line to the new intake. The airbox is only held down by the two bolts ontop of the throttle body, look up above the 12-valve FI plate on it. I'll see if I can get an updated pic of mine since I put on the Weapon-R, I removed the airbox
