    b20a valve cover gasket

    So I have a gold top b20a.

I ordered a valve cover gasket for the 1990 b18 teg.

I am told that the "older teg" valve cover gaskets fit, so I am trying this one.

Is this the right one, or is it the valve cover gasket from the b16 found in the 86-89 tegs?

Either way, Advance auto parts tried to tell me both were NOT DOHC, because it didn't say DOHC on their computer. After looking at the 90-93 listing on their screen I go okay so maybe you don't have one for the DOHC older ones, but the 90-91 teg i KNOW is dohc and so your computer just doesn't say it (the point which I SAW the b18 motor code there, but no DOHC next to it, after asking him if it said DOHC next to the GS-R, which it didn't)..

Is the 90-91 (normal 140hp) b18 valve cover gasket going to work? or do I need to order the older one? Or are they the same?

    thanks bros

I thought they meant the older one 86-89 but that one may work because the valve cover looks similar. But the only way to find out is to try it when you get it.

My gold top is actually sand-blasted down to metallic instead of gold. It's just a gold-top version.

Either way, it's paintable with some of that heat-resistant paint. I don't mind trading, but my car's already been off the road for a couple of weeks, and I want to make sure I can get it running well before I send it off.

Send me an e-mail about it, dude

I'll let you all know how the valve cover gasket works.

Huh. I'll keep that in mind. Maybe most of the b-series older motors (without the spark plug cover, like the b16a and itr motors etc)... all have the same valve cover gasket anyway.

    I'll find out soon, lol.
    thanks dude.

The integra gasket is exactly the same, works fine.

Got it for the 90 integra LS I think... whatever one is 140 or 142hp, I think it's the b18a1... either way I believe you're right, I know people have used the valve cover gaskets from the b16 integras of the 80's.
