real time tuning software for gm ecm

I was screwing around looking for Z34 performance stuff the other day and I came across this. They have LQ1 (Z34 engine) definition files, which means that it supports DIS. Also there is an ALDL-to-serial adapter cable available here so you can plug up your laptop to the diagnostic port.

Just wondering what yall think of this and Sean what are you using to tune your setup?

cool stuff! last summer i build an ALDL->RS232 adapeter for my buick and was able recieve a data stream. I don't have a buick definition file so it was mostly senseless numbers. I think i picked out the rpm and that was it.

    shwing!

    Its the L27 i think....series 1 3.8L N/A

did the same year superchared still bear the RPO code of L67?

    full title would be:
    1991 Buick Regal Limited 3.8L

The only difference is that the Series I started in 1992 though & that year (1992) was also the first year the SC version was offered too. The 86-91 3.8-3 (LG3) HO & 3.8-C (LN3) were the forefathers of the Series I though.

Yes the Series I 3800 NA (L27) was offered up to 1995 in most GM H bodies. The Series I 3800 SC (L67) though was offered upto 1996. The Series II 3800 was offered until 2004. The Series III 3800 is now offered instead.

I work as a GM Partsman for a Pontiac Dealership.

That's right, because you're supposed to get 97+ L67 for 1st gen W-body swap. I remember reading that like a year or so ago. Thanks for the clarification, Mr. Goodwrench!

Not a problem, just trying to help. BTW, Bonnevilles & 3800's in particular are my speciality!:smokin:

regals are damn quick and not as heavy as you would think.

Sorry to go off topic, but DeathRat your car looks pretty damn good. And I just noticed the alberta plate on your car, and I really think we need to get the idea of an alberta meet going again, but I dont know where all the alberta members went.

your lemon doesn't necesarrily mean ALL gm's are garbage.
I had a 91' grand prix that was very quick and reliable. Ill admit GM made some bad cars(like late 80's, exempting the buick GN)....but since then, wow! they should get the Most Improved award or something. My dad had a 2003 bonnie as a company car for a while and holy buh-jesus it was very fast! it even had over 100,000km with no problems.
