    Well there are two ways:
    1. break it and buy a new one, tint, then replace.

    2. Use the relevant theory behind this, D.I.Y.
    and use
    this when replacing.

Visit this site to save lots of time and avoid costly mistakes, tintdude .

Wow nice post. I stopped and read about removing rear window tint. I was hesitate to start removing it on the DSM so all the tint is removed but that. Either way, great link, never seen that site before.

N-Man, someone people prefer to remove the glass to work on it, but on the rear it's going to be just as difficult as on the car. The windshield and rear window's arent the easiest either as far as removal.

That is a great website! I tinted all of my windows myself and I used a hairdryer to get the crinkles to be almost un-noticable. The thing is I have a strip at the bottom w/o tint which I still need to "patch" when I get the motivation to take out the back panel.

If you want perfection on tinting the back window I would suggest getting it done professionally. I went to a shop and they told me $120 for the rear so I said screw it and did it myself for $0. I still think its worth it, but not on a show car. I would suggest using two sheets with a seam at the middle, but if you want no "crinkles" use many small slivers of tint and cut over them to hide the edges. Just be wary of the defroster lines. I cut through two of mine and the stupid kits to repair them cost $12!! Just cut softly and use new blades and you should be fine.

i dunno man. ive seen some killer tints for 100-130. for the peice of mind that it will be done right the first time and professionaly done. also with a warentee in most shops. i mean..they know what they are doing right off the bat. better then guessing 'umm i think ill take my glass out and carry it inside and tint it and bring it back out and put it back in....'

anyways. basically my point is for 100 bucks they do a perfect job.

i dont think i worded my question correctly. i want to remove the side windows (not the one on the door, but the ones that you can push out in the back.
