hey guys i put my new cd player in the other day and u know haow u turn the lights on and the lights on the stock stereo light up? well i took it off and taped up the wire that did that it was fine for a couple days and now my instrument cluster lights and tail lights wont work (keep blowing the right tail light fuse) and i wanna know whats wrong
It's the red wire, right? It's probably hitting a ground connection and shorting. Get the player out, cut the wire a lil' so its isolated to the end of itself, retape the wire and put player back in. I'm pretty positive it's the red wire shorting some place.
Red/black stripe is the dimmer/illumination circuit. Make sure it's not shorting to ground and replace the fuse which should be under the dash or under the hood.
did you blow a fuse?
