That's a cool idea, where did you get the leds from?
what do you mean you cant see shit. cant you see that the 3rd brake light is shining bright red. when its off you cant see anything. or are the pix not loading for you?........oh, i got the LEDs from that light bar. i just took it apart and cut it up a bit. i got it at Autozone.

I think it's just b/c of the quality/clarity of the pics that they're saying that. I can see the pics, but can't really see the LED setup at all.

Yeah, it's tuff to see with the pics that small at the res I'm running at.
cool!!! i can see it lit up!!
i was watching TRUCKS's last saturday and Stacy was doing a classic truck build up. instead of putting the regular bulbs for the taillights, he put in LEDs that fit the box thingy that holds the lights. then he just put the normal lens on and voila!! he said they don't burn out and they pull less power than the conventional bulbs. i know the power thing is true, what about not burning out? how much is it usually for LEDs? i gotta replace the bulbs in the trunk lid on the passenger side. would it be possible to replace them with LEDs?? that would be nice, and brighter.
How about an how to on it and price.

ok, since most of y'all cant upload a clean image, heres some close up pix.

total cost was about $9, but thats cuz i bought that light bar on sale. regular price is $17-$22 at autozone. and now listen, i took the light bar apart and made the circuit strips that the LEDs are one fit inside the 3rd brake light housing.

looks better! wow that is really nice man
Damn that's nice. You should put a plastic lense over it, or put something behind the LEDs so you can't tell you made them.
Nice idea, nice job.
i love that great job man
