    Tie Rod End Replacement

I have allready searched but mabye not hard enough. heres the delima im about 100 miles from my house where my repair manual is (i took it outa the trunk to do some reading and never put it back) anyways, while down here my front left tie rod end seperated the cup part attached to the arm seperated from the ball that is attached to the control arm area. im sure it will be rather simple but can anyone tell me kinda step by step how to remove the 2 peices and replace them. i know i can get the ball out by losening the bottom nut and banging it out with a hammer but how do i remove the end from the tie rod it appears to be threaded can i just unscrew it?

    Thank in advance
