Spring compressors are great for taking springs off struts. What are you planning to use them for?
Mike
He wants to know how much they'll cost....and I'm assuming he's going to lower his car...figure it out!!! j/p
Some auto parts stores (Autozone, for one) will loan you the spring compressors. They probably require a deposit or something, but you'll get most if not all back when you return them.
I'd say $50-80 to buy a set...just a guess
I figured if was was getting more than one he had an unusual plan...maybe not.
Mike
Yeah, like using them to lower his car
Without lowering springs :lol
He can always cut the springs, that could add to the rice appeal.

i paid $30 for my spring compressors, and no i am not using it to lower my car. they are great to remove the springs, but that is about it.
Alex.
for what you'll pay for enough spring compressors you'll be able to buy a set of lowering springs. Don't be such a cheap ass, suspensions not something to dick around with
I thik he's talking about these little clamps that you use to bring the coils of the springs together or push them apart. It looks like the bracket for the exhaust clamps.
Bro if thats what your thinking you seriously need to stop and prioritize.![]()
They are rather cheap but its hard to find some to fit cause the OEM honda coils are close together. I tried to borrow one from auto zone which was a nicer one but didnt fit good enough. Basically you have to be very very careful because this is dangerous and i had a spring compressor break on me. So after that i took the rest of my stuts/springs to a dealership and the took of the pressure for free. And most lowering springs are short enough to get it back together without compressors. I have done a few suspensions and your best bet is to just buy new tops and the washer/nut from honda this way you dont have to even take apart the factory strut/spring unless your not changing struts but thats not recommended.
i bought some used from a local shop for like $30... they had been used once and looked new... man they have made the rounds though. i have done my suspension 3 times with it, and alex's and matts's! hehe and soon we will do ambers with them. the best $30 i ever spent!
I got a set for $25 canadian at the "Tool Place"...cheap as hell but work great, have yet to find a set of springs i can't use them on.
