I found an accord for real cheap with an original bodykit and this engine. Got any info? I might have blown a crank shaft seal.

I'll most likely get it tommorow, shine it up sell it and make a good earning on it.
It has the B20 in it I guess... like the accord with the dual carbs, maybe?

It's a 12valve, and apparently it has a prelude valve cover so you would tend to think it could be a 1.8 litre from a lude but judgin from the size of it I would say it's a 2.0 litre.
the 1.8 and 2.0 blocks look the same.
what year is it?
Alex.
It's an '87.
interesting, are you sure it is not DOHC engine. because there was B18A with dual keihin sidedrafters available for our cars. it would look like B20A but with carburators on the side.
Alex.
Oops, I didnt blow a seal on the engine, the previous owner did. I havent been able to read the block code yet because i havent picked it up and it was too dirty for me to see what it said. It's not a dual camshaft, but whether it's a 1.8 or 2.0 litre I don't know. It's just 2 carburetors and not 2 dual carburetors. By the looks of it anyway. I've only had a peek at the engine so far. What is the tranny code for the A18? (ET)
Yeah if it's got carbs then it's the A18... what made you say 2.0?

The plate on the firewall says A20A2, the size of it looked to be a 2.0 litre and maybe this:
http://www.prelude-fan.de/ab_t.htm
It says that the prelude was also made with a 2.0 litre CV dual carburetor motor.
oh... hehe hats cool... I wonder if the size of the carbs changed between the A18 and the A20, it would be cool to have the A20 dual carb manifold.

Yea. Well I guess I will only find out about this when I get the car home then.
