    is this normal?

OK i know that with carbs you have to let them warm up but with the new carb the shop just put on it starts and jumps to 2000 rpms then drops it like its hot and goes to nothing and stalls unless i sit there and give it gas. I have to give it gas for about 30 seconds to a minute depending on how cold it is before it holds its own. Then the idle drops to about 800 but the car shakes and it seems like its not normal. Its very annoying and takes more time to get going then I like. I know a few other guys with them like mine and they don't seem to have this problem. Is there anyway to fix it? I was thinking maybe idle was alittle low or something but i havn't really played with carbs to much. Thanks for your help.

P.S. i did search but didn't find what i was looking for.

I don't have to much experience with the Keihn, It has not given me any problems. I would say your choke is not operating correctly. You should PM POS CARB, he can help you out.

Maybe the mechanic forgot to hook up the choke wire.

As a temp fix...you should be able to turn on the AC and that should increase the idle a bit...When I warm up my car in the mornings I can tap the gas and let the revs drop, but then turn on the AC and it won't stall like it should.

my carb is kinda like that, it jumps to 2000 and if i tap it too soon it dies...i usually gas the hell out of it for about ten seconds, let it drop down, and then shift to drive and gas it before it can stall out... its not the best for my car...but i gotta get to school in the morning

I was looking at it alittle while ago and notice there was a wire coming from it and seemed to be grounding the carb or something it was attached to the crap forgot name its the black thing says honda above head like the cover thingy but it was screwed down to that. That seemed kinda wierd to me.

You mean the ground wire from the vavle cover that connects to the top of the radiator.

They set the Choke after a "Cold Start" right? I'm betting they didn't.
