    Fuel Filter Q?

Hey guys, been a while since i've been on since i've been so damn busy with school and shit but i have a quick question. My car recently started to sputter and stutter and do some weird shit. But when i give it lots of gas it runs a little better but not much better. My dad said that his old honda did the same thing once and it was his fuel filter. I replaced my fuel pump 3 years ago and dad said it's probably just the fuel filter that needs replaced. I was just wondering where exactly the fuel filter is and if it's possible for me to replace it on my own instead of paying someone to do it since i'm pretty much broke as a joke down here at school.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Chris

It's up against the firewall. Behind the air intake tubing. It's a small round black metal canister with 2 hoses bolted to it.

How hard is it to replace? Is the filter inside that cannister? Will i need to disconnect those hoses? Empty my gas tank? Sorry so many questions i just don't know shit about the fuel system.
    Thanks

Alright, I'm not sure what's wrong with it but i just started it up and when it sits there and idles it shakes fairly roughly and when i give it gas it does like a bubbling stuttering sound but when i get high up in the rpm's it's not as bad. Any thoughts guys?
    Thx

It is very easy to replace just loosten the pressure bolt and unbolt the 2 hoses then unbolt the bracket on the wall andswitch the new one in once you see a new one it will all become clear. I believe there is a how to or something around here and in my injector how to in the how to section it should show how to relieve fuel presssure and have a pict. should take no more than 20 min.

Well, there's 2 black cannisters right next to each other. There's a bigger cannister and then a real small cannister made of metal right next to it. Not sure which one it is? Any help, thanks

How about you stop piddling around about it here and go to the parts store. Look up the filter in the book or ask the guy at the counter to find it for you. Buy it, go home and put the new one in exactly how the old one came out. Its not that hard.
