    Aww crap, stupid snap

Today I bought some generic gas treatment and octane booster stuff. You know the shiny lookin seal that you have to take off well i didnt completely take it off and when i poored it in my tank it went in. At first I wasnt concerned cause it doesnt look like it is small enough to be sucked in but then i thought about it blocking the passage and i got even more worried. So what I want to know is, is that penny sized piece of paper thing gonna fuck my car up. Any help would be beyond appreciated. Oh yeah if I just syphon it all out do you think it will come out?

It could probably get stuck to the fuel pickup and mess up the car. Siphoning might work, it's worth a try.

    Hmmm

Is there a chance it could get like sucked in and heated up till it dissentagrated or something, is there anyway to get rid of it?

Pull of the fuel pump cover. There is a round cover behind the rear seat under the carpet. Remove that and then there is the top of the pump assembly. Remove a couple of lines and the harness. Then remove the 8 or so 10mm nuts. then pull out the assembly. Then get a flashlight and a snakelike grabber tool and have at it. Be careful, don't smoke and disconnect the battery. You should be able to get it. At that point you might as well replace the pre filter (it looks like a little baby sock), that should make the pump last longer. good luck.

Man you are lame. Take it to a damn shop and let them rip you off. Print out this page so it can make the mechanics job easier.

Your strainer will prevent the suction of the foreign object.

Lay off, kroy. Not everyone is mechanically inclined. Messing around with the fuel tank is no fun and is a pain in the ass. I'm with eric on this one. If you have a problem with that, feel free to go fuck yourself.

Eric, there is a guy in Marysville who runs a business called Mikes Automotive Maintenence. Look it up in the phonebook. He's a good guy to talk to about 3g's.

Also, I really doubt the cap thing will do a thing. The strainer in there will prevent it from entering the fuel system. If anything, It might restrict the flow of gasoline a little.

trust me it is fine unless you cut it up into tiny tiny tiny pieces before you put it in :lol

To get it out the best hing to do is open up that cover behind the back seats and get someone with small hands to reach in and pull it out for you. Umm, no smoking either boom

I wouldn't even worry about it. It won't block any substantial fuel flow (if it blocks any), it won't corrode, and it won't disintegrate.

It might even be hung up the the filler neck.

Like I said, in someone else's words, "Fuggetaboutit."
