how much are you looking to spend? Do you want something that will require no work, or something real inexpensive but may need a few hundred to get working great?

wel money would depend on the car. no more than maybe a g note. possible more but it's doubtful. somehting that's running is best.

I just got off the phone with a guy in West Haven, CT who's selling an '87 LX-i Hatch, that I saw in the local classified paper.
It's charcoal on charcoal w/305K mi. on it. 5spd. New clutch, new calipers, rotors, pads, timing belt, front upper control arms. Axles and axle seals were replaced last year.
Only "problem", if you will, is rust. He said there's rust/rot on the rear wheel wells, and rear hatch lid.
He said it runs great, and the only reason he's getting rid of it is b/c he's only allowed to have 1 registered car at his condo complex, and this is his second one. The condo owners are cracking down on this with all tennants so this has to go in the next few weeks.
He's asking $450.

let me know if you find any coupes of 4 doors. he likes my 4 door. he also doesn't care if it's 5speed or auto. he actually prefers auto in a winter car (don't ask why because i don't understand it)

There's also an '88 4dr. in the paper with 330+k on it, that just needs an exhaust for $400.

There is a 89 Lxi Coupe for sale i think at www.bargainnews.com for like $1400 or so dont remember the exact details but it didnt seem bad.
