Part info for 88-89 intake manifold

I need to know what this valve on the 88-89 intake manifold does?
It is bolted to the front side, has two wire going to it and two coolant lines hooked up to it. I only have an 86 sevice manual and the 86-89 Haynes manual is a peice of shit. I need to know if I can do with out it or if it is necessary. If I do need it i need to know how to hook it up, where the wires lead to.

its the EACV valve... 86-87 intakes do not have one... im not really sure i think you might need an ecu pinout to figure out where they go

Yea that is the problem I get get a manual that is more indepth. The Haynes is a basic POS has dosen't have what I need. Now one of the 5 bolts that hold the manifold together is stripping. the other 4 bolts came out no problem and this on will hardly budge!
