    Efi Code 8

Where is the list of codes? im having major electrical problems. Its blinking 8 times, that is, the thing under my driver seat. hehe.
Wipers dont shut off, numerous lights burned out, heater dont work right, RAD fan stays on after car shuts off, and wont turn on till after car is off, OR, dont turn on till car shuts off... not sure, some battery drain problems, but that isnt proven, dont know if it still drains when the window/wiper fuse is in or out. just blaming the fuse thing.

This started when i jumped my car and wipers turned on and never shut off. i have dissconnected the switch. least i have windows... but since its 8 degrees out i need wipers now... i need to put a flip switch for the fuse so i can use wipers short of geting under the drivers wheel.

    HELP!

sounds like you had a major voltage spike while jumping it,...TDC sensor is in distributor,...don't know what they're worth there but try checking your wiring, fuse's ,etc first

Someone should post a sticky at the top of the efi tech section about where the ecu codes are.

    Ok ok ok
    1. how i get to the sensor? i checked fuses all fine. And as far as a can see... (not far) wiring is ok.
    2. could this also involve the thermostat?
    3. could this have been fried when i got that voltage spike? or did this just go bad (do things like this just GO BAD?)
i just got the cash to fix it. so here we go.

dizzy needs to be stripped down to get to the sensors.

You can check the resistance of the sensor if you have a multimeter

In most cases,if sensors are bad ,replace the dizzy

I would just try to get one from the j/y for a few bucks because they are real pricey new. And then if you can take them apart and transplant the sensor, go for it. If not just use the whole used unit in place of yours.

Grab a dizzy from an 87 Prelude 2.0si. They have the same engine as our cars, but the distributor has more mechanical advance. Good for a tiny bit of extra oomph when ya need it
