    Gas Tank Drain PLug.

    Is there a drain plug on our gas tanks?

    There is one on my car, driver side. Drained my tank several times when i had that rusty gas filler pipe.

    Mine has one too. If you're going to remove it don't forget to replace the aluminum crush washer. I think it's the same size as the one that goes on the oil pan drain plug.

    Yes there is a drain plug. I think that would be a messy way to drain the tank though. What I did was remove the fuel pump and stick a siphon in from there and drain it like that into another car. Yes I know I am cheap.

    Thanks for the heads up on the crush washer AZ. I'll order one from the dealer and pick it up on the way home one day.

    You probably will want to buy a bunch. They're really cheap (about $0.10 each) so I always buy a bunch at a time. The same size is used all over the car so I like to have spares.
