    Hose from headers?

I've ripped off my hose that goes from my headers to my intake. What kind of affect does this have on my engine?

    I like you username man.
I believe you are talking about the pre-heater hose. Most people probably do not even have one anymore. You can get it at the local parts store for a few bucks. Take in the old one and buy a new one. They are universal and you cut them to length.
The point of them is to heat up the intake air to warmup the carbureator quicker. They do not come from the header itself they come from the heatshield ( the round part of the left side of the shield). Then they connect to the stock intake. If you live in a warmer climate I would just say fuck it and pull it out and fuggadaboudit.
