    body kits by FX designs

    this is what they said, when I emailed them about kits for the accord:

    Hello;

    If you want to get a kit made for the 86-89 accord we can do it. We require a car for 6-8 weeks to develop the kit. In order to pay for the expense of creating a body kit we need orders and deposits for 10 kits or 30 pieces, our kit prices are $899.00 U.S.Dollars or 1299.00 Canadian Dollars plus shipping.

    If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask

    I was thinkin it would be made for the accord - that pic is just a demo pic. I am sure they would follow the accord lines better.

    I thought about it for the hatch first, cause there is like 1 kit for the hatch and I don't like it at all..

    I know the owner.....I found him at a car show when I was wanting a WS hood made for my Bonneville. I can talk to him some more if there is an interest & see how long he would "really" need a 3rd Gen. I might even "loan" mine for the measuring & test fit too. But as it IS my "Daily Driver" too.....I would have to see what can be arranged. I really like the Front & Sides, but not quite sure about the ass-end though.

    Looks nice on that hatchy but I agree that the lines aren't quite right for a 3g. It could look alright if they just made it a little boxier in the 3g version. But you could definitely get a similar looking teg or 4g kit that would fit for like a little more than half that price.

    In order to pay for the expense of creating a body kit we need orders and deposits for 10 kits or 30 pieces, our kit prices are $899.00 U.S.Dollars or 1299.00 Canadian Dollars plus shipping.

    This still applies though. He'll also need a 4Dr, 2Dr & Hatch for measurements. If more than 10 kits/30 pcs are wanted then a better discount can be bargained for too. A min of 50% deposit for 10 kits is required up front before the process can begin too. This will cover the $$$ needed to make the molds & designing process. Therefore all we are paying for is the cost of the finished kits (front & rear fascias with side skirts).

    I can get him to do all THREE designs probably. The front fascias on all three types should be the same. The Side skirts should be close enough between the types (4dr, 2dr & Hatch) that it shouldn't be too difficult to modify. The rear fascias on the other hand is where it get's dicey!

    How about a poll to see if there is an interest at all first, then we can also see if it's just one type that is requested or all three types?
