    Crane Firewire Plug Wires....Cheap!

Options Auto salon is clearing these 11mm monsters out! Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the 85-87 Prelude SI wires. For those who don't already know, that model prelude used the same A20A3 used in the LX-i 3rd gens so the wires are a direct fit. It says they fit the base model '83-87 ludes as well so looks like you carb guys are in luck as well!

    isn't 11mm a little big?

edit: and do they come with the wire from the coil to the distributer?

They better, and the bigger the better. Bigger wire = MORE CURRENT HANDLING

are the bigger wires only advantageous if you have an upgraded ignition?

yeap, they won't do crap if you have stock ignition. they may look cool, but they won't add anything to the power.

I wouldn't necessarily say they won't do crap since the resistance in the wires is less, which allows more voltage to flow through the wire. While the difference will not be dramatic it will still be an improvement in the way of if nothing else a possible smoother idle. To me they are worth it simply because the price you are paying for quality wires is better than most cheap-o sets

i actually just bought them too. What the hell right? if i don't get an upgraded ignition someday, i'll just sell them. and if i do upgrade my ignition, then i'll have the wires already.

And do you guys think I should go with the yellow ones like I used to have? I had yellow ractive wires with red boots. I thought it looked sweet. I think if I got red ones there would be too much red in my engine. I have a yellow intake connector also.
