    Steering, steering, steering

My woes with my steering troubles have at least let me put in a couple of goodies I've been waiting on. One step closer to reinspection and back on the streets

Anyway, here are the new tie rods with Energy Suspension dust boots. Picked the boots up at Autozone for 3 dollars a pair.

New three spoke steering wheel. Cheap, simple, albeit stylish

Well have you got everything put back together and so "correct" according to the inspectors.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.

That pic of the tie rods was taken about an hour ago, so not yet. The weather has been kinda nasty around here so I'm aiming for Saturday when it'll be sunny and 70.

    You lucky bastitich

Anyway, I've got the wheel on. Had some issues with the mount kit, but all is solved with a bit of solder, force and good ol elbow grease.

My thread in Apprearance details whatcha need to do in order to get the APC install kit to work: https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26719

Here's the pic from that thread, whaddaya think?

Sweet! We've gotta hook up sometime soon. I twisted my ankle pretty bad but it's starting to feel better and the swelling's going down. It's my clutch foot so I can't drive my car for a bit

I just finished cleaning up my steering, dropping in the new tie rod ends and all that mess. Gotta put the calipers back on, bleed the brakes and get a real-deal alignment. Then, after two years, I go for my state inspection.
