    alarm mounting . . . . . HELP ME

    what would be the best spot to mount my alarm brain.
    i want it to feel the vibe's but i can't get it to unless i pound on the damn car.

    mount it to a wire harness under the dash. Find a thick bunch of wires and zip it up there.

    so it should be abe to detect movement from it if i mount it on the wire harness?

    it should try to find a thick bundle of wires.

    I personally never mount mine under the dash unless you cant reach it by hand. Why bother because a theif will be able to disable the system in seconds and there is not really any good spot under our dash that i have found to hide the brain well enough. The only thing extra you will have to do is extend the wires to the dash. I also uses a seperate power source since if you power it from under the dash you can easily see the connectors and would be disabled easily.

    you have to make sure that the amp is not bolted or touching the case to ground, because that is not always a good scenario, it should be isolated from ground (the amp heatsink/case)

    A pretty good place is above and behind the glove box. Kind of tough to get to and it makes for a clean install.
