    Some more pictures from today

This is the plexi-glass project that I am working on---believe me, The rear hatch lost a lot of weight with the glass removed...
I will have other pictures up when the project is complete in about 1 week..

The company that I am getting the material from, they have lexan, but it costs three times as much...

    MOTOR PIC....

Did you mold that yourself or have it done? Have you touched your bumpers yet, that'll loose you a bit of weight. I'm working on bringing over a bumper from australia for my nova, it has air passages that will be alot more friendly to my intercooler then the 5mph bumper it has now. The bumper literaly is just the plastic covering with some brackets to hold it to the car. Importing bumpers isn't fun, but maybe you could rig up some brackets to mount just your plastics and sell the guts for scrap. Probably loose close to 100lbs from that diet, won't do so good in a crash though.

The front bumper is basically just the shell, the rear one, I have not gotten to yet, but I am getting there.. The plexiglass was just a 5X4 sheet, I cut it myself..

i would have went with lexan even if it is more... lexan has different properties, and will last a good bit longer and take more abuse than plexiglass

Did you have to heat it up and bend it any? I have been thinking about it on my nova for a bit, if a big sheet of lexan or plexi glass, a saw, and a heat gun will do the trick I think I might just try it.

Justin, I know you were going for weight reduction, but I hate to tell you... pulling out the motor may make the car a lot lighter, but I'm guessing it's kinda needed

Go for a custom CF hood
Then it will look like my favorite AE86.

You could always remove the rears seats for even less weight. Who needs passengers.

I bet those rims and tires are kinda heavy, you should take them off....

And instead of just letting them sit in you garage, sell them to me for...$400, just a thought...
The GSX was killed, I need something new...

TurboAccord, does you see something thru your plexi-glass window? In Aerodeck rear door weight about 50 kg (real heavy :-((, it's have 2 glasses - rear and skyview), and if plexi-glass is good choice, i will be replace it.

    Sorry, for BAD ENGLISH. :-(

P.S. TurboAccord, when you buy APEXi REV/SPEED METER for preciously results of your acceleration? :-)

I do believe he means that the pics of your car excite him, make him drool, and want your car, just like those of a fine looking woman.

Damn justin, you're hardcore into the weight reduction aren't ya? Are you going to cover your interior? Or just leave it bare-assed like that? Is there a lot of road noise like that?

Hey Paul, do you think you could get into photoshop and make some pics of that body kit all the way around the car, and then send it to jetspeed.com.au?? They make custom body kits for any car... they might be able to hook us up with that kit

    Hey Justin

Are you planning to still drive your car on the street?

Are you just going to use the accord as a drag car?
