whats the engine code? if its an a20ax then its a 2 liter, if its an a18ax then its a 1.8.

no clue, wheres it located on the block? just under the exhaust manifold? will the 1.8 bolt into the '89 lx?
the number is stamped right next to the exhaust manifold on the left side. I'll see if i can find a picture of where it is. its in the same place on all hondas. Sometimes it gets covered in gunk so you might have to scrap some crap off before you can see what it is.
the a18 is a prelude motor and will not bolt in to the accord if im not mistaken.

only number i could find was:
"BS
1507695"
the BS engine was *i think* an se-i motor. I'm pretty sure it was a 3g engine which is 2.0

alright, but is it a 1.8 or 2.0?
its a 2.0

yeah? hahah i lucked out eh? got 2 5spd tranny's, a 2.0 FI engine rebuilt and this `BS` engine....traded for a computer...
BS is a 1986 A20A1 from an '86 Accord DX or LX, same 2.0L as all carb'd 3geez have, just different serial numbering

Black '89 Accord LX-i sedan - 436,600 miles and still going strong!
Black/Red '04 Honda CBR 600 F4i -256,100 miles and also counting quick
anyone want a 2.0? carbed or FI, your choice! each comes with a 5spd, i only need one, would take...200$ for one?
