start up problem?

my car starts right up, if i turn the key all the way to the last click and let the fuel pump turn on, then crank it,

but if i just pump the gas 2 or 3 times then hit it over it sorta takes a little while to actually fire up


is this normal?

just replaced all fuel filters

i think this is called over flooding the carb ! and this is normal ! anyway only pump the gas when it doesn't start with out it !
