The car is a 1986 Lx-i sedan that was manufactured in Japan (JHM in the VIN). I bought it with 142k miles from the original owner who was a high school english teacher- this was 4 years ago. Now has 179,xxx miles on it. The work that I've done to my car is as follows:
Replaced:
Oil Pan gasket
Oil filter housing gasket
cv joints (both sides)
upper ball joints (all 4)
valve cover gasket
axle seals
combination switch
brakes (rotors, calipers, pads) done last year
When I got the car, the clutch had recently been replaced and the previous owner said the timing belt had been done recently as well.
Mods:
H&R springs
tokico struts
dc sports strut bar
polyurethane sway bar bushings (just the endlinks)
TSW Imola 16" wheels (x5) and toyo proxes fz4 with one spare tire
Panasonic Cd Player (DFX400U)
Alpine speakers x4
Armrest
pacesetter catback exhaust
ractive dual tip muffler
generic intake
spark plug wires
aluminum guage bezel
dynamat around rear 6.5' speakers
Two sheets of dynamat across back of rear seat to dampen noise from exhaust
Dyanamated a couple sections below trunk carpet
Diamondback h4s and ricer blue bulbs :P (one leaks, as you've seen) but the bulb has been fine for 3-4 weeks now.
I've really babied this car...it has been my love affair for the last 4 years. I've floored it in 1st maybe 5 times EVER...i've never shifted it above 5500 rpm. Always gets the oil changed on time and always is allowed to warm up before revving above 3k.
Upcoming things: Since the car does have 180k, the timing belt should probably be done sometime soon. Also, the tires on the tsw's will need to be replaced in the near future as well. I'll give you my stock 13 inch alloys as well, of which i have 5 (one acts as my spare tire). The tops of the rear seats are in not so good condition (bad seams from sun-wear), but I have a blue blanket that I used to cover them up. 2nd gear has to kind of be babied a bit until it warms up to prevent grinding-this means mainly you can't just jam it in, you have to wait for it a tiny bit..has been doing this for 4 years and has never gotten worse. Besides that, the car has a few rattles but those seem like they could be taken care of fairly easily if you just took off the door panels. The rear power windows have been unplugged since they would go down but not up. This is a result of wiring issues and the motors are still in working order.
Given all the work I've done and the fact that I'm throwing in all the wheels and whatnot, ideally i'd like to get about $2,800 for it, but I'm defintely open to offers. I know that it bluebooks lower, but I've dumped in a goodly amount on repairs and mods and the car is in EXCELLENT shape. I will not ship this car but I can make arrangements to meet someone if they live semi-close. Thanks for looking. I think that any of the OR/WA guys that have seen my car can vouch for its cleanliness.
