Keep your rims man, you have the good stock ones. Steelies are the basic steel rims with hubcaps that completly cover them. Yours just have a small center cap to cover the lugnuts.

What you have are the alloy wheels. They have no steelies underneath, pure aluminum alloy . You could get stamped steel wheels off of a DX or LX. However they would be 13" wheels, not 14" like yours.

Strolll on over to your local pick and pull or a tire shop. The tire shops ususally take the old steeles from people who buy rims from them. I saw a set on sale for $50, they were 4 lug 16s.

the steelies are just wheels with the hubcaps removed (LX,DX), they look better if you spray them with a coat of fresh black paint. If you want them go look for some 4x100 wheels on any car in hte junkyard and buy them, maybe you can find some 15" steelies

I thought the 88-89 LXi had bigger front rotors that requires at least 14s. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I am thinking of the thread "the sad story of a girl who is stupid".

Want steelies? send me $50 plus shipping and I'll ship you a set of factory 14" steelies... with tires even. not good tires but tires none-the-less..

edit: or I could send you my steelies if you'll send me your factory alloys.... Trade straight up.

True True Kroy, can't fit a 13" rim on the front of an 88-89 LXi due to the size of the front rotors
