    Cool natural cooled air intake

    to day is a very cooled day in
    New York. it is 22f outside.
    i jusy co 10hp to the wheel:super:
    i can feel the diff.
    did you ever had that happen to you?:smokin:

    when you think it is 10 hp difference it is actally maybe 2. but yes try driving around with no hood at this temp... whenever i went to the night drags i ran no hood, no intake, open TB, huge poower

    i would think that the power you would gain with an open hood you would loose in wind drag.

    but i could see why you wouldnt. becasue at speeds 0-50 [the better part of a race] you dont have that high of a drag coefficent cause you arnt going that fast. you just need power quick to get off the line and down as fast as possible

    see what if you had a switch and ur hood slid open and then when you reached high speeds..you could have the hood slide back on...you know...that would be cool..

    Man it was cold out, and I put a whole bunch of stickers on my car and I could feel a huge difference in HP!!!!
    Thinking about getting a new 3g...

    You can mod the hood to tip up a bit on the windshield side. I have seen it done to many civics and rexes. It's nothing new.

    not to be a snoob, but bs post like this should be in offtopic from now on.

    But yeah, you def feel the difference in the way ur car pulls when its freezin outside , no wonder ppl get into accidents

    Travis, ever tried running ur car with no intake at all?? Thats what i call power baby. Once u eliminate all the resonace off the intake pipe, ur zoomin baby.

    Ever ran a car with no hood, or air filter? I did that when I installed a header before I reconnected the exaughst. Talk about fast! I am suprised I did not get arrested.l
