New Koni's for me on wednesday

Yea, I just wanted to tease you all a little
I just ordered my 4 new red Koni's today, after I got confirmed twice that they could be delivered, no problems at all. They should arrive wednesday if all goes well. Apparantly they are still being made. So i'ma just looking forward to recieving them, cus i'm not counting on anything untill they're on my doorstep. Tonight i'll be installing some soft 40mm lowering springs I bought because i wasnt sure if I would get Koni's, so I bought some soft springs that should fit my stock struts better. Well i'm done teasing you all :smokin: Have a nice day :super:

And for the curious ones, the price for all 4 was about 618 bucks in US dollars

Well, theres a (only 1) shop here in Denmark thats specialiced in Honda tuning/ styling etc. That's where i ordered them. Where they get them from, I dont know. But he said that they are still being made, when i made him check up on it. So howcome you yanks are being told otherwise I dunno But he did say that there has been alot of the Koni's going out of production lately.

Can you give the shop contact info and if they're willing to ship to the U.S.?

i bet the reason the guy at the shop told you that Konis are still made is because it is on his catalog. they were canceled this year. so the new catalog won't be released till next year.
I don't thinf you will get them. i think you will have to go with Tokico struts.

I ordered konis through schwab's for 78 bucks a piece... you got jipped. There is a two week delay in the ordering process, and you might not be able to get them depending on the area in which you live, but In western washington, it's a good deal.

You are not getting Koni's. It's as simple as that. Websites have them listed but there are none available anymore. I called Koni directly and there's nothing left. That was a month or two ago. I was lucky enough to get the fronts. You may have placed the order but it will get canceled. I had that happen twice.

I talked with Tom Fowler from OPM Autosports (http://www.opmautosports.com/) last week and he confirmed to me that Konis for the 86-89 Accord have been discontinued. If you keep up with SCCA racing at all then you've heard of Tom and his group at OPM. They used to have a 3rd Gen Accord they campaigned in roadracing and produce a lot of custom racing parts for the 3G.

He said that with a bit of shortening, he thinks the rear Koni strut from the 92-96 Prelude would work on our cars.

Well, i guess we will just have to wait and see. He insured me that he could get them, AFTER I had told him that I'd heard that they had been discontinued. Butt i'm sceptic too, untill they're in my hands. I can only hope

maybe if we start a petition or something, koni would start making them again? yah, right, oh well...., i guess i missed out on those..., freaking army tearing me away from home and making me miss gettin the koni's....

They are at the post office. They arrived wednesday but i havent had the time yet to pick them up. I count on picking them up tomorrow though. I'll probably be able to take some pictures of them sometime in the weekend.

Mike or Matt as some call him got front Konis through Tirerack this past week.

yes tirerack.com still shows the fronts as low stock but they do not have the rears

Ok, i went to pick them up just now, and yes they sure are the red Koni's Both front and rear. They even included some Koni stickers They've been made in Holland if that's of any interest. The shops email is [email protected] . I don't know if they're willing to ship overseas though.
