    What's a good...

What is a good setup(in a 1987 honda accord lxi hatch) for a premium sounding system with sub and amp. Are thier any places or packages you guys would recommend?
Question: Have you been working on your car lately? Does your car look like mine(Stock)? If you answered yes to both of these questions you have failed a 3geez owner.

I got a clarion pro audio cd player
ininifty kappa perfect 6.5" components in the front
infinity kappa perfect 6.5" compnonets in the back
2-12" oldschool rockford fosgate punch dvc subs in a ported box
a planet audio 300 watt amp 150x2 to drive the subs

mine pounds and sounds good, i am more of a SQ guy myself, but the amp pounds the shit out of the subs when i play some 3-6, I recommend the inifnity components they are nice, just look on ebay for some packages, but make sure they are name brand not any of this legacy and la sound shit.

no I do not have an amp on the components, as the head unit works fine for now, although once i return to the united states i plan to get a 4channel for them, I really don't need an amp, but it will look nicer in my trunk with 2 amps in an amp rack haha

you can't really say what is the best setup. you just have to go with your budget.
i am Alpine guy. i have all alpine setup. Starting with Alpine HU, EQ, 2 amps, 6.5" all around, 12" type S sub.
in my opinion it is the best sounding system, but some people may say it is not the best.
So, you just have to go with trial an error setup.

Jl Audio subs, MB Quart component speakers, PPI amps, Nakamichi Deck. I hope you have some serious cash.

For cheap I like Sony Xplode.

MA Audio Subs, MB Quart Component Speakers, Phoenix Gold Amps, Kenwood HU. That would be a pretty good setup.

If you have lots of money...

    -Alpine, or Eclipse head unit.
    -Focal component speakers (front)
    -Focal coaxial speakers (rear)
    -Audison amp (speakers)
    -Audison amp (subs)
    -Focal, or Eclipse subs.
