The latest word on a decent clutch for a turbo 3g

I am wondering how progress is going in terms of finding a good clutch for the high powered accord. I am curious to know what type of clutch Johnny O and Justin are using, but I assume Johnny's clutch is probably not very street driveable. I guess Sean is waiting to hear back from Exedy? I emailed RPS and they said that they could build me one if I supply the flywheel...this sounds legit to me because I know RPS builds some nice shit for cars like 900whp supras, etc... but I am sure the price is going to hurt, even if I don't get a twin disk carbon/carbon clutch.

last word was Sean was trying to fit a b16 flywheel in the a20 tranny so we could use high performance b16 clutches. It sounded like it wasnt too far from happening.

There is a place out here where I live Socal.. Southland racing, they make clutches.. I was going to get a ceramic six puck with no springs for about $380... with a pressure plate, talk about a good price, all I had to do was bring an original in and they would build me what I wanted in about 3 hrs.

88turboaccord, do you know anyone who is using one of those clutches from the place you mentioned? If you think they are legit, can you post their number? Sean, I know what you are saying, this lack of aftermarket support for the 3g is really starting to piss me off, even koni stopped making shocks for them? Fuck. Everyone who knows anything about cars and has seen my car thinks it's cool, but I am getting sick of having to put so much effort into anything I want to do to it. Oh well, I am going to contact RPS again and try to get more info.

I've had a clutch masters in mine for 6 yrs now and she still grips like a pitbull. It's a high 15s car so decent power and I used it for drag and road racing. Alotta 6K dumps and it's still great.

The guy from RPS just emailed me back, here's what he said. "RPS will make a clutch that will hold all the power you can throw at it. The Proggressive dual diaphragm is what it will be.If possible to acquire just the Flywheel we will be able to make the Max PP. Price will be around $400 range with a Street disc capable of holding 400lbs of torque" Call me if interested hmm...
